Looks and works great but makes grinding noise

After having to return the first one to Lowe's because the carton had been dropped and the corner of the microwave smashed, and dealing with the hassle of installing the replacement, I was disheartened to learn that the replacement unit's internal fan (not the vent fan, but an internal one that runs when when microwave is operating) makes a grinding sound like the bearing is shot. It's worse when the microwave stops, and the fan continues to spin and grind to a halt. Other than that, I love the features, it looks great, and heats food quickly and evenly. I just worry about long-term reliability with that noise.

Surprisingly easy microwave operation

After 23 years with the same four appliances I decided it was time to replace them. After looking at my options I decided on Frigidaire because of the sleek look and ease of operation. I™€™ve been asked to review the 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range microwave. I've had my new Frigidaire microwave for about a week and so far I am very happy with it. There are several things I like about it™€¦besides the sleek design, I also like the LED lighting inside and underneath (the light underneath has two levels of brightness), that it™€™s easy to use and straightforward and that the instruction manual is well written with clear instructions. I also like that the door is well balanced so it will stay ajar wherever it is stopped without ™€œswinging™€ open. There is a melt/soften feature that I think I will really like the most (how often does one forget to take a stick of butter out in time to soften and then get to that part of the recipe to find out the butter isn™€™t softened or softened enough?). The melt/soften feature will really come in handy when cooking or baking.

I like most everything about my new microwave. I do have a couple of issues the biggest of which is the loudness of the fan when using it to vent the kitchen when using my gas stove and oven. There seems to be no difference between low, medium or high settings. The fan when using the microwave itself, is very quiet. Not sure why that is?The other issue is minor. I wish there was just a button to turn off the turntable for long dishes like my previous microwave, instead of having to go into settings.Other than that, I like it.

we purchased new house. came with 2 X frigidaire 1.9 cu ft microwave. we have been here little over 6 months. one of the units requires more and more time to heat the water to the same temp as the other one. we measured exactly same amount of water and poured it in identical coffee mugs. put them in the 2 microwaves for one min. measured temp right after... one that is working properly measure around 140 degrees. the one loosing power is closer to 115.

I have had my over-the-range microwave installed over a week now and really like it. It is much more quiet than the previous microwave. I like the minute feature and how it is set up with entering a single number like 3 with a couple second delay waiting for seconds to be added, if nothing is entered it assumes 3 minutes and starts as such. The exhaust out of the house (back exhaust) works much better than I was use to on the previous model. Good lighting on the inside of the unit while it is running or while door is open.
